A Simple Truth ARCs will be coming to your emails by Feb, 10th. You will receive another email from me with a downloadable link for the ARC. (I am using BookSirens to distribute my ARCs so you will have to create an account with them-it’s free and very easy. Once you click on the link it will walk you through it step by step)Now, I know some of you are very experienced ARC readers, and for some of you this might be the first time being an ARC reader, but I wanted to do a FAQ just to put us all on the same page. |
| Q. What is ARC and why do authors do them? A. ARC stands for “Advance Reader Copy” or “Advance Review Copy.” It’s a pre-published version of a book that is distributed to readers, and reviewers. Authors provide ARCs to generate early buzz, garner reviews, and build anticipation for their book. It’s a way to build momentum and create interest around the book. Plus, having positive reviews before the release can attract more readers once the book is officially available. Q. Is there a deadline for me to read this ARC? A. No, I do not have a required deadline or timeline for you to read this book, all I ask is when you do around to reading it please provide your honest review. And that if you are reading it after the release date( Feb 14th) and have KU, consider reading it there for free, to support me and help with Amazon rankings 🙂 Q. Where do you need me to post reviews? A. Amazon and GoodReads are my go-to, and if you are willing, any social media posts are huge as well (also please tag me in them if you feel comfortable to do so, I love sharing them on my socials as well) Q. What type of reviews are you looking for? A. I don’t have a preference or requirements, whether it’s a sentence or 10 pages – you do you. All I ask is they’d be without major spoilers. Q. I hated/DNFed the book. What do I do? A. I understand that my book is not going to be for everyone and that’s okay. If there was a particular reason you hated or DNFed the story I’d love for you to email me and kindly share it. I promise there won’t be any bad feelings. Q. I found typos/errors in the book. What do I do? A. Please reach out to me through email so I’d be able to fix those. Q. I got the link but it doesn’t work. A. Please email me and I can resend. Q. I have a friend who wants to get an ARC, can I share my link for them to read as well? A. If you know someone wanting to read and review A Simple Truth but didn’t get to sign up yet, please have them email me, I am happy to send anyone interested in reading and reviewing a new link. Just please please please don’t share your link with anyone. I am happy to give away as many links as there are of demand so just have them reach out via email or Instagram. |
